My family and I stayed at Kiara resort for four days and it was amazing. I loved all the activités for children . The indoor pool was amazing. Everything was clean and good customer service. We loved the pool, the play room, the tennis court, the massage was also good for me and the food in the restaurant was delicious. What stood out for me was the restaurant setting braai fire for us and giving us free pap and gravy. We had a great time and the place was breath taking.

Kiara Lodge is a beautiful and peaceful getaway, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The surroundings are serene, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The lodge is clean and well-maintained, making it a lovely place to unwind. When we arrived, the TV wasn’t working, but it was fixed by the second night and we only stayed for 2 nights in total. It would have been nice to have a small gesture to make up for the inconvenience, especially as we had an older guest with us who couldn’t do much else. Most activities come at an additional cost, but overall, it’s a wonderful and refreshing escape from the city.

Lovely place! Everything you need right there. Restaurant, shop, indoor heated pool, gym and spa. And cute bunnies running around the resort. Rooms: Lovely room with a huge en-suite bathroom and a fireplace. Nearby activities: An onsite gym offers a great variety - first experience with a self powered treadmill. We had a massage at the spa and it was one of the best I've had. Safety: Very safe. Walkability: You park and walk everywhere. Food & drinks: Delicious and unusual lamb curry pizza - definitely worth a try.

Great place to relax & get away from the city life. It's about 1 hour drive from Bergview & about 15m drive from town. Nice facilities and activities for everyone regardless of age. Splash pools for toddlers, slides for kids. This is in a heated indoor pool. Games room for kids & adults which includes table soccer, pool table, table tennis, mini jungle gym (for toddlers), arcade games. Outdoor play area includes swings, trampolines and much more. The hiking trails are moderate, if you are a beginner this could be a minor problem at times. There were lots of other activities available: gorge swing, archery, pedal, tennis, quad biking & put put (mini golf). Also a day spa on site. The restaurant have great food, especially the breakfast waffle (with scrambled eggs, bacon and mushrooms). Service at the restaurant needs a little work. We had to request things that should have been brought with the meal. One day syrup was given with the meal and another day ni syrup (The waffle supposed to come standard with the meal). Overall a nice relaxing weekend. Will definitely go back Rooms: We stayed in a private room which was suitable for myself and I. The room had a queen sized bed, TV, small kitchen (including fridge/freezer combo, Gas stove, microwave, kettle & sink), fire place. Nearby activities: Lots of activities on site. Quad biking, fishing, put put (mini golf), archery, indoor heated pool, games room (toddler jungle gym), pool table, soccer table, table soccer, arcade games. Outdoor play ground

This is a beautiful mid week break for the whole family. All my children and grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the facilities. It is a nestle in a beautiful setting between the mountains. At our beautiful chalet, time stood still. No really the big clock on the wall wasn't working. We really enjoyed our time here. Loads to do. My favourite especially was the oil fondue at the restaurant. Such a fun experience. We also enjoyed time at the dam and bunnies. The only thing I wish for was proper bowls. We had plastic bowls in our unit. Not a big fan of the plastics. Other than that fireplace was great everything else too.

What an epic get away. Such a beautiful location! JR Tolkien who wrote Lord of the Rings would visit the Golden Gate area when he was a kid. He got a lot of inspiration here and I can understand why. Such beautiful mountains and landscapes one can stare out into the distance all day. Kiara lodge staff are incredibly helpful and I can’t say enough about Danie the manager. Always making sure we were looked after and had all our needs met. They have a tennis court and even have a Padel court which we enjoyed. The Body Bliss spa was a highlight for me. What a treat. The room was warm and the massage was delightful. They have wonderful amenities for the kids as well as an indoor waterpark! The kids are already asking when we can come back. I can highly recommend Kiara Lodge!

Although it was mid-winter, the location, facilites and staff warmed my heart. A number of years have passed since I was last at Kiara Lodge. The enhancements, such as the indoor heated pool and gym, have added further value to what is a first class venue.

Great facility, very professionally run. Rooms are clean and spacious. If you have an infant, a cot is provided upon request. The pool area is to die for especially in winter with the 2 Jacuzzis. The kids' play area is well kept and spacious enough for smaller and older kids. Service is top-notch, room service daily. Clean linen daily. Overall, it was a great vacation! I forfeited my fee for archery + paintball because LEAP doesn't operate on Fridays. I. didn't know that, and no one told me before I made the booking. I only found out on the day. The rooms were OK, 3 out of 5. The staff was generally helpful. Obviously, some staff were friendlier than others. Pool was great. The gym was small but I was happy that it was there and it was clean, 4 out of 5. The location amazing, the views are out of this world. Rooms: They were OK. Secpic tank was not clean. Water was brown after flushing. Rooms were clean. Great room service. Fire place + air con 👌🏽 Nearby activities: Couldn't enjoy them. Safety: I felt safe the whole time. Walkability: Very. Absolutely fabulous to go for R&R. An absolute stunner of a place. A great family resort with lots to do. Very scenic, almost like you're submerged in nature. We are definitely coming back. There's mini golf, a restaurant on site, kids play area, hammocks, a dam where you can fish, onsite store off site adventures, the list goes on and on. It is totally worth the drive especially from Jhb. We left in a rush and forgot things there and the staff put everything together and we organised the courier.

Apart from not having much to do in the area and some amenities not being available as they were under construction,the place was great. Room 72 was too proper but room 73 wasn’t the greatest. Overall, they stay was worth it.

The hiking trails were my favorite with the amazing views and a waterfall. Our unit was so close to the playground and everything else. My 6 year old was so excited that there was so much to do. Everything was in excellent condition. We had dinner at the restaurant and took pizza to our room one night after many hours in the heated pool. We also did the Cathedral cave hike which was incredible( we were lucky as 30 April was the last day, opens in October), which was so close the Kiara lodge. We loved the location.

Kiara Lodge really exceeded my expectation. Room was comfy and was very surprised with the sleeper-couches. The shower was excellent, loved the shower head and water pressure. We really enjoyed our stay at Kiara Lodge! The wide range of activities for the kids, like the playground and swimming pool, kept them busy and happy the whole time. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and we appreciated how well the rooms were cleaned daily. The braai area and fireplace were great touches too—everything felt well maintained and relaxing.

It was all really lovely, very scenic, lots for us to do, nice that the extra adventure zone was across the road. We had a lot of meals at the restaurant, food was overall good and staff was friendly.

The wifi at the house 33C is not at all great, but everything else was wonderful. I highly recommend checking this place out, but if you want better wifi, I'd ask the staff beforehand. Nearby activities: There is daily activities, almost all of it for children under the age of 12, but bingo is nice (for all ages). There's a pool and putt putt and a lounge for people over 21 years old to just relax or work if needed. The game rooms alright, but the lounge is better. Safety: You feel comfortable and safe here. Walkability: Everything is really close and it's wheel chair friendly. Food & drinks: It's delicious. Some food is expensive, but then again, it's kinda what you'd expect. Noteworthy details: The Slides at the pool are only for children under the age of 12.

Yes ,this is my fourth time I took my parents too Kiara, and was so surprised from the reception by Lisa, although they was very busy, she wanted to to accommodate us in a unit with less steps but my parents although they are elderley adore the view, thanks Lucas for helping with luggage, and Anna from the vdMerwes 23C.

Very nice place but the swimming pool was closed that we didn't know about. Make sure you know about the status before coming if warm water swimming pools are your thing. Otherwise the place is super nice with lots to do. Really family friendly

Really beautiful resort and well maintained. Very friendly staff and nice and quiet. The only thing missing is a nice cold pool to cool off in after a long days hike or drive through golden gate. 🙂 The heated pool is great for cool nights and isn't too hot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kiara lodge. A top place for a honeymoon destination. In particular all the friendliness from the staff and their hard work in keeping our rooms clean. The views are absolutely stunning and we really enjoyed the hike around the dam with the views of the mountain. Would definitely recommend a stay at Kiara Lodge😊😊 Rooms: The rooms are beautiful and clean. We appreciated the staff that always left our room beautifully clean each morning. Walkability: There are plenty of places to walk around just in the lodge itself. With the hikes as well as around to the pools and restaurants. We could easily spend the whole day just in the lodge
